“Good actors never use the script unless it’s amazing writing. All the good actors I’ve worked with, they all say whatever they want to say.” –Jessica Alba
You have never worked with a good actor. In fact, when I think of your movies, I think of large ensembles of mediocre actors. Maybe there have been a handful who are good, but they certainly didn’t share the screen with you at the same time. Furthermore, you probably wouldn’t know amazing writing if it slit your eyes open with paper cuts.
The whole system of filmmaking has gone down the toilet thanks to people like you. Writers aren’t given the praise that they deserve. Remember Ms. Alba, that without a writer, there is NO movie! If there is NO script, then there are NO scenes for a director to direct or lines for an actor to read; or change in your world.
No one should start changing the script because they think they are better. How would you like it if the writer said, “She’s just not right for the role. Give me someone new.” Oh wait, I’m sure that’s happened numerous times considering the roles you have actually done.
To make a statement like that really pisses off the people you want to have on your side.
Note to self: never have Jessica Alba read for any of my screenplays.
